OUR HISTORY
IT ALL BEGAN IN 1960.
When Wo's formal education was cut short at 15 because of the Cultural Revolution, Wo turned to mastering the art of tailoring.
Wo began to work at a clothing company on Wangfujing Avenue, Beijing, which was one of the few business districts at the time. He became the apprentice to two master tailors. In his free time, Wo would peruse the aisles of Shou Du Library, where he would spend hours studying fine Japanese design, fashion books, and crafting skills.
OUR EXPERTISE
After years of study and practice, Wo became a skilled top tailor in his 30s. Eventually, he was promoted to executive manager at a clothing manufacturer. By the mid-1980s, Wo and a Hong Kong joint venture partner had established a high quality line of suits in Beijing.
Finally, in 2000, in the pursuit of better living conditions, Wo and his family moved to New York where he opened Wo's Custom Tailoring.
